Taste is inseparable from the environments that shape us. By tracing the philosophy of taste back to the spaces I grew up in, furniture and interior design became an anchor within the design process of this collection.
Bridging my current Product Design studies with garment making, allowing methods from both disciplines to inform each other.
Product Design often begins in two dimensions, through drafting, technical plans, and orthographic specs, which inspired the pattern making.

Recalling referential furniture from my home in Luxembourg, a visual language of European modernity, and my grandfather’s Istanbul home which roots itself in an oriental sensibility shaping everything from tasseled curtains to ornate detailing.
This exploration naturally led me toward the aesthetic sensibilities of my maternal grandparents, whose style ultimately informed the look and construction of the first garment in the collection.
